CaféTO – Increasing Dining Capacity for Toronto’s Restaurants
CaféTO is an initiative to create more outdoor space for local restaurants and bars that will make it easier for businesses to open and expand patios and access additional outdoor space for physical distancing during the summer months. The program will allow the City of Toronto to act quickly to help restaurants and bars when the next phase of reopening begins. If you are interested, please send an email to Hypitch Marketing by Wednesday, June 17, 2020 (RVBIA) and Friday, June 19, 2020 (LIBIA) with the name of your business, address and direct contact information (email address, telephone number). The City of Toronto requires a list of participants to be submitted to schedule an appointment with the designated engineers to review the sidewalk and curb potential. The City of Toronto (dedicated engineers) will review and provide their recommendations to which establishments will be eligible to participate due to curb lane closure requirements. Hypitch will be providing project management and consulting services for the CaféTO program to the Roncesvalles Village BIA and the Little Italy BIA.
